Costume Pearls with Eye-catching Clasp

This is a beautiful set of costume pearls, probably from the 1940s. They are in excellent condition with only the two pearls closest to the clasp with a little scratch where the pearl 'shell' has come away. Otherwise they really do look the part and have been well strung.
The clasp is extremely eye catching and all original to the necklace. It is made up of clear and red diamante to imitate rubies and diamonds.
The short strand measures 18"/46cm and the long strand measures 19.5"/49.5cm.
