| Early Victorian Gold Locket with Garnets |
This pretty locket is from the early Victorian period and has four almandine garnets on the front in a flower formation with etching in the gold surrounding them. It has an open back, which currently houses the original hair that would have been put in as a love token or memory.
The back could be removed to take the hair out and a picture could be put in as a replacement.
The locket measures 2.5cm from the top of the loop to the bottom of the locket. It is in fabulous condition and is not hallmarked, but has been tested as gold. |
