| Pietra Dura Victorian Earrings |
These beautiful Pietra Dura earrings are from the late Victorian period and are extremely eye-catching. The floral design really springs out from the black background and they have lovely enamel tops with a similar flower design.
The main body of the earrings are held in gold coloured metal and the hooks have been changed to solid 9ct gold. This has been done sympathetically.
Pietra Dura is the art of finely cutting coloured stones and fitting them together to effectively make a painting in stone.
The main circle of the earring measures 2.2cm in diameter and the earring hangs 3.5cm from the top of the hook to the base of the circle. |
