| 9ct Gold Suffragette Earrings |
These earrings are from the early 20th Century, around 1910, and would be associated with the suffragette movement due to the colours used - purple for dignity and green for hope. The stones, amethysts and peridots, are beautifully vibrant and the earrings are rather striking as they hang quite long.
They are made from 9ct gold, which is hallmarked subtley on the side of one of the earrings stems, and it is marginally rose in colour. The amethysts are 8mm in diameter and the peridots are 5mm. The earrings hang approximately 5cm from the top of the hook to the bottom of the amethyst.
There has been some small repair on the stems, but this has been done extremely well and is hardly noticeable. |
