| 18ct Gold Amethyst & Diamond Ring |
This stunning 18ct gold ring has three beautiful, vibrant purple amethysts in a classic Edwardian design with four small diamonds to offset the stones. The diamonds are good sized old cuts and are not the small chips that you would normally find in this style of ring. The gold setting is beautifully crafted, as you would expect from this period, and the ring is fantastic quality, feeling rather heavy for it's style. The ring has a perfect hallmark on the inside of the shank showing that it is 18ct gold and the maker's mark. It also shows the date stamp of Birmingham 1916. One of the outside amethysts is damaged, but as can be seen in the picture, this not detract from the beauty of the ring. There is the possibility that the amethyst was originally set damaged as all the gold claws are perfect. The amethysts are all original to the design. Ring size UK M 1/2 US 6.5 |
