This pretty, eye catching brooch is from the late Victorian period and is made from high carat gold, possibly 15ct. It's main design is a stunning geometric pattern with a deep red cabachon garnet as it's centrepiece.

The 'c' catch on the back of the brooch has been replaced, possibly in the mid 20th Century, and the new piece has been attached using lead. Otherwise, the brooch is in lovely condition.

The balls either side of the cabachon stone have one little ding each. The brooch measures 4cm in length and 2.2cm in height. It is not hallmarked, but has been tested as gold.
