This circle locket is from the early 20th Century, possibly Edwardian, and is in absolutely perfect condition. It is 9ct gold on the back and the front, meaning that the inner frames are not gold. It has birds etched in a similar picture on both the front and the back with a lovely formation of leaves surrounding them. This kind of depiction of nature is typical of jewellery designs from this period.

It is marked on the back as '9ct back and front'. The locket has two frames inside to hold two photos, 1 either side, and measures 2.7cm in diameter. The bale adds 0.6cm to the length. There is a tiny bit of solder on the bale of the locket, but this could easily be removed by a jeweller.
