This is an original chain from the late Victorian, early Edwardian era and is a lovely example of the play on links that was common of the period. These chains are becoming more and more rare as the price of gold increases and people are inclined to put them to scrap.

It is solid 9ct gold, which is marked on the original bar clasp. It measures 17"/43cm in length.
