This is an absolutely beautiful 18ct rose gold Victorian large oval ornate pendant/brooch. It is such an individual design built into layers with applied scrollwork, repousse finials and hand-etched borders to all edges, It is set with 13 split 0.2cm half pearls, some of which are in high raised claw settings.

There is an alternative pin to the back, also of 18ct rose gold with a safety shield and a clever twisted ring which enables the pendant loop to drop down out of sight.

Hallmarked with the French regional horse's head for 18ct gold in an old style.

This piece is in extremely good condition with the pearls keeping a nice bright lustre. There is some slight wear into the edges of the pendant loop caused by friction from a chain, but this is the only sign of wear.
