| Sapphire & Diamond Flower Bracelet |
This magnificent Victorian bracelet is made from 15ct gold and platinum and houses some amazing rose cut diamonds and sapphires. There are 24 diamonds in the whole bracelet of varying sizes. They are all rose cuts and original to the bracelet. They are approximately G colour and between VS1 and SI1 clarity. The central flower contains the largest diamonds, each of the four diamonds spreading approximately 15 points, though they are rose cuts so do not have the depth making them approximately 10 points each. All the diamonds in the bracelet are rose cuts and as such, they do not have the depth of modern diamonds. The 'spread' carat measurements are purely to give an idea of size. The two medium sized flowers either side of the central flower each contain four diamonds with a spread of approximately 8 points and the final smaller flowers on the edge of the design each have four diamonds with a spread of approximately 5 points. There are four more diamonds set in between the flowers within the links of the bracelet. These spread approximately 3 points each. All in all, I estimate there to be approximately 1.2 carats of diamonds in the entire bracelet. There are also five vibrant royal blue sapphires, one in the centre of each flower. This bracelet is absolutely stunning and the gold is a beautiful bright yellow as is customary of 15ct gold. The gold is not hallmarked, but has been tested as 15ct. The stones are set in platinum to give them the beautiful white light that they deserve. This whole bracelet is all original and is in good antique condition. There is one small repair where one of the small flowers meets the gold link. The bracelet is of the utmost quality and beauty. As a guide, the largest flower measures 1.1cm by 1cm and the total bracelet is 7"/18cm in length. It would best fit a 6.5"/16cm wrist. |
