| Amethyst, Emerald & Pearl 15ct Gold Ring |
This is a pretty and unusual 15ct gold ring from the Victorian period. It has a central vibrant purple amethyst, which has been set with a tiny seed pearl set in a gold star design. There are four bright green emeralds, one at each corner of the central stone, four bright white natural pearls and a pear shaped amethyst either side, which complete the design. The whole shank of the ring is beautifully embossed around the outside and, although there has been a minor sizing at the base of the ring, this has been executed with sympathy and they have put the delicate pattern back in. The ring is fully hallmarked as 15ct gold and has a date stamp. Although the location of the date stamp has been distorted by the re-sizing, it is possible to say that it is probably Birmingham 1872.
