| 15ct Gold Turquoise & Pearl Collar |
This stunning 15ct gold Victorian handmade collar is an amazing piece. The centrepiece has a large turquoise stone in the centre with 2 pearls and 2 turquoise stones graduating in size along a line. This sits in the middle of some beautiful gold work involving flowers and leaves; typical of jewellery from this era. From the central panel drops a length of hand-made gold chainmail with a small seed pearl at the bottom and 2 fringe drops, each with four tassles. This is a beautiful piece and would be a fabulous addition to any Victorian jewellery collection. The whole piece is articulated and has real movement. The necklace also has it's original engraved clasp, which is in excellent working order. The collar measures 15"/39cm with the main panel being 4.5cm wide and 2cm long. The long tassles/fringe hang from the panel at 4.8ccm in length. The back of the main panel has some slight silver work and a slight indentation (see last photo), neither of which affect the beauty and quality of the piece. |
