| Agate & High Carat Gold Necklace |
This stunning high carat gold necklace is from the Victorian period and has six beautiful octagonal shaped pieces of agate that have been set either end with ornate 18ct gold clasps. Each piece of agate has been linked with a belcher link chain, whilst the rest of the necklace is made up of rods of gold and sections of belcher link chain alternately. The necklace is in excellent condition with only a slight knock to one end of one of the pieces of gold on the bottom end of a piece of the agate. This cannot be seen when worn. The necklace measures 16"/40.5cm in length and is solid gold. This is not hallmarked, but has been tested as high carat gold meaning it is at least 15ct gold. |
