| Art Nouveau Turquoise & Pearl Necklace |
This pretty solid 9ct gold necklace is from the Art Nouveau period and it's main design depicts a flower fashioned from three turquoise stones and a central pearl, together with pearl set leaves on the stem. The pendant is fully articulated with the flower drop moving independently from the frame as well as the small turquoise drop hanging from the bottom also moving independently. At the top of the frame is a large turquoise stone surrounded by a circular gold frame studded with four seed pearls. All the stones are original to the piece and the turquoise stones have a slight green look to their colour rather than bright blue turquoise. The whole piece is in excellent condition with the original bar fastening to the chain. The pendant hangs 5.3cm in length and the chain is 16.5"/41.5cm. The gold is stamped as 9ct on the back of one of the leaves of the pendant. |
