| 9ct Gold Victorian Amethyst & Pearl Necklace |
This pretty necklace is from the late Victorian period and is made from solid 9ct gold.
It has two beautiful round deep purple amethysts that are claw set and contained within a gold frame with a natural pearl drop. The necklace is unusual in it's design and would look lovely on the neck. As is customary of pieces from this era, there is a reference to nature with the inclusion of leaves in the design. The gold has a rose tinge to it, typical of pieces from this period, and is hallmarked as 9ct gold on the back of one of the leaves. The pendant measures 5.8cm long and is all articulated. It is 1.8cm at it's widest point. The chain has it's original bar clasp, but has a replacement insert to the clasp that is not gold. It measures 16.5"/42cm. |
