| 15ct Gold Enamel & Pearl Acorn Necklace |
This stunning necklace is from the late Victorian/early Edwardian period, circa 1900, and is absolutely remarkable. It is made from solid 15ct gold and is completely original with an incredible design of oak leaves and beautiful pearls to make acorns. The leaves and acorn tops are enamelled with a vibrant green enamel that is in immaculate condition. The natural design sits in an oval gold frame and hangs from a beautiful 15ct gold chain. The pearls are truly stunning with a very white lustre. The whole piece is of the utmost quality, with some weight behind it, and is in perfect condition. The gold is hallmarked as 15ct gold on the back of one of the oak leaves and on the bar clasp of the chain. A most remarkable and unusual piece from this era. You would be very hard pushed to find another of it's kind, let alone in such immaculate condition. The oval frame measures 2.7cm in length by 2cm at it's widest point. From the pearl set into the chain to the base of the oval, it is 4.2cm. The chain part of the necklace that would go around the neck is 15.5"/39cm. |
