| Edwardian Pearl & Diamond Necklace |
This pretty necklace is from the Edwardian period and is made from high carat gold. It has an old cut diamond at the top, which is millegrain set and is approximately 0.04 of a carat. This leads to a length of gold that ends with a gold frame surrounding a square design of eight natural seed pearls with a central old cut diamond. The front of the pendant is white gold, while the back is rose gold. This offsets the pearl and diamond design perfectly. The pendant is not hallmarked, but has been tested as high carat gold. It is in excellent condition and would look lovely on the neck. It measures 4.3cm from the top of the diamond to the base of the octagonal frame. The jump ring is a later replacement and adds 0.6cm to the length. The pendant hangs on a solid 9ct gold chain, which measures 18"/45.5cm. The pendant could be sold separately from the chain if preferred. |
