| 18ct Gold & Old Cut Diamond Necklace |
This unusual necklace is from the late 19th Century and is made from solid 18ct gold. It has a beautifully decorative centrepiece with a line of nine old cut diamonds hanging from which is a circular design, which is also set with diamonds. This has seven articulated drops hanging from it, which again have old cut diamonds set into them.The misshapen settings of the old cut diamonds really give the necklace character and this would look beautiful on the neck. The whole piece is made from solid 18ct gold, which has been tested although it is not marked. The clasp is a replacement and is 9ct gold. There is one larger link within the chain as shown in the photos and this is not at all noticeable. It also appears towards the back of the necklace and would sit at the back of the neck.The necklace measures 15.5"/39cm. |
