This stunning necklace is from the mid Victorian period and is made from 9ct gold. It has a pretty oval arrangement of deep red garnets that are in closed back settings. The garnets are faceted giving the stones some life and the pendant is fully articulated adding to the movement of the piece.The pendant hangs on it's original chain, also 9ct gold, and the gold has a slight rose tint to it, which compliments the stones perfectly. It is hallmarked on the catch as 9ct gold and the chain part of the necklace measures 17"/43cm. The pendant hangs at 6.5cm by 2.6cm. |
