| Essex Crystal 14kt Gold Pendant |
This pretty pendant is from the early 20th Century and is Essex Crystal depicting a polo player on horseback. The picture is mounted in a 14 carat gold surround and is in excellent condition.Essex Crystal is the name given to rock crystal that has had a picture carved out of the back, which has then been painted. A mother of pearl base is used to cover the back before it is mounted in it's final surround. Every piece is individual as they are all hand carved and hand painted.The pendant measures 1.4cm in diameter with the jump ring adding an extra 0.7cm to the length. It is hallmarked on the back as 14kt gold. The hallmark is rubbed, but can be seen. A 9ct gold chain could be supplied if required. |
