This amazing mid Victorian piece is made from 9ct gold and is in excellent condition. It has a large heart as it's centre piece with a large almandine garnet and 4 seed pearls surrounding it. The gold of the heart is etched all over on the front and the back with roses and plants and surrounding the garnet are some leaves in gold. The leaf on the top right of the heart is missing, but this is not obvious and cannot be seen when worn.

The heart pendant slides up and down the necklace and is a beautifully crafted snake style chain, which ends with two tear drop tassels. The tassels are also etched. The whole piece is entirely original and fairly rare to find in such marvellous condition.

The gold is not hallmarked, but has been tested as 9ct gold. The necklace measures 16"/40.5cm, whilst the heart is 1.9cm long by 2cm wide. Each tassel is 1.5cm in length.
