This fabulous bracelet is from the late Georgian period and is French in origin. It is in immaculate condition with intricate gold work all along it's length on every link. Each link is joined by a small hinge so there is perfect movement in the whole piece. The centre-point of the bracelet is an intricately worked etched plaque with a central rectangular green paste stone. The stone is open backed, but probably has foil to the top beneath glass; hence the discolouration on the surface of the stone. This does not detract from the beauty of the piece as whole. Hanging from the central plaque is a little gold heart - just finishing the piece beautifully. The bracelet is made from high carat gold, which has been tested, but is not marked. It has the original secure catch and a safety chain for extra security. It measures 6.5"/16.5cm in length with the centrepiece measuring 2.8cm by 2cm with the heart adding 0.8cm to the width. Please note the bracelet will come in a different jewellery box. |
