| High Carat Gold Fish Enamel Heart Pendant |
This pretty heart pendant is from the late Edwardian period and is made from solid high carat gold. It has two enamel fish painted on the front, which show incredible detail, and they are joined by a length of black enamel. It is an unusual design and has a little yellow stone set to the top right, probably a citrine. The heart measures 1.3cm by 1.3cm with the bale adding an extra 0.5cm to the length. The gold is not hallmarked, but has been tested as high carat gold meaning that it is at least 14ct gold. As it is Edwardian, it is likely to be 18ct gold. The pendant is fairly heavy for it's size as it is solid gold, rather than being hollow. |
