| Ebony & Pearl Victorian Mourning Brooch |
This is a beautiful example of a mourning brooch. It is made from ebony, which is set in 9 carat gold, and has a central pearl leaf detail. The pearls are real and it is in perfect condition.
The brooch has a locket back which is typical of mourning brooches of this time and has both a brooch fastening and a loop so that the piece could also be used as a pendant.
The brooch is 4cms long and 1.2cms wide. It is 1cm thick. |
