Antique 14kt French Jet Earrings
A lovely pair of simple earrings from the late Victorian period, c1890s. The earrings are made from 14kt gold and have dormeuse fastenings, translated as ‘sleepers’ and so called because they were so secure you could sleep in them. They have little French jet domes (black glass) with a matt appearance at the end of the hook and are very stylish in their simplicity.

Condition - Very good. One dome has a faint surface scratch, noted for accuracy only and only just visible through magnification.
