Antique 14kt Frill Hoop Earrings
A wonderful pair of earrings, believed to be from the first half of the 20th Century. They are made from solid 14kt gold, though they are fairly light due to their fine construction. They are marked with ‘585’ on the hoops as well as the fastening and a small hallmark is also present there. It looks as though it is an Austrian hallmark though it is very difficult to read. The hoops have wonderful scalloped edges giving them a frill effect. The gold has some ribbing worked into it, which catches the light beautifully. Such a lovely pair of unusual hoops.
