A stunning and unusual locket from the late Victorian period. The locket is made from solid 9ct gold and is in the shape of an apple. There is beautiful attention to detail throughout the design and the locket is topped by a lovely large leaf. The locket has a beautifully crafted hidden hinge and opens through the centre to reveal a compartment inside. One side has a lip that a photo could be placed behind or you could place a little momento inside. It has its original bail and hangs at a slight angle. The gold is very slightly rose in tone.
