Antique Black Opal Ring
A wonderful and other worldly ring from the late Victorian period. The ring has a fabulous natural black opal set in a plain gold rub over setting. The opal has beautiful deep purple undertones with flashes of green in certain lights. It is fully open at the back allowing you to see the back of the stone and for the light to pass through. The central setting sits on a simple split shank and the gold is solid 9ct gold with a very slight rosy tint as you would expect from antique 9ct from this period.
