Antique Chunky Open Link Cable Chain, 16"

£0.00
sold out

A wonderful chain from the early 20th Century, c1920s. The chain is made from solid 9ct antique gold that has a beautiful rosy hue as is often the way with watch chains from this period. It has an open cable link, each one stamped with 9c, and it is lovely and chunky making a stunning statement on the neck. The chain is complete with a good dog clip clasp and, unusually, a large ring at the t-bar end. This can be used to place an extender through such as one with a t-bar, or is ideal to hang a charm holder off. Such a lovely detail. This chain is wonderful quality and a real heirloom piece.

Details:

Materials - 9ct Gold (marked 9c on links, dog clip and t-bar)

Age - Early 20th Century

Size - The chain measures approx 8.2mm wide. Dog clip is 23mm long, t-bar 38mm wide and the ring is 13mm in diameter. Overall the chain is approx 16” wearable length (ring to dog clip, not including t-bar)

Condition - Excellent. The final 3 links near the t-bar have a round link attaching it to the chain (see pic); this is likely an extender piece of chain and would have originally hung from the t-bar jump ring. This has likely been added to make the length more wearable.

Weight - 28g
