Antique Decorative Slide Pendant
A sweet little pendant dating to the early/mid 19th Century. The pendant is made from silver with a hint of gold gilding to the back. It has a wonderful decorative design and is hinged in the middle giving it a hint of movement. It would have originally been a slide on a larger piece of jewellery and could still be used as such if the chain was super fine to thread through the slide element. It is worn as a pendant here and has a 9ct gold bail added into the top. It has six gemstones set throughout with a soft pink colour. I believe these are low grade pink sapphires; they sit in closed back settings and are likely to have foil backs.
The pendant will come on a 14kt gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.
