Antique French 18ct Huguenot Cross Pendant

£0.00
sold out

A lovely example of the Huguenot cross, a symbol of the Protestant church, originating in France. I believe this piece dates to the early 20th Century and it is made from solid 18ct gold, showing the French eagle head hallmark on the ring of the dove. This decorative item is very beautiful with some pretty engraving, and the dove, as well as representing the Holy Spirit, is also a wonderful symbol of peace. This particular pendant is a lovely rich gold and looks beautiful on a gold chain.

This pendant will come on a 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.

Age - C1920s

Size - The pendant measures approx 37mm long excluding the top bail. It is around 19mm wide.
