A pretty ring made from Victorian components, though it came to me as it is. The ring has a 9ct gold shank, which has a rosy glow to the colour and remains open to the top. It has a gorgeous crescent moon on one side, made from silver and decorated with gold ivy leaves to symbolise friendship and eternal life. And a silver star on the other, set with a stunning rose cut diamond. The diamond is a modern rose cut with a mildly warm glow and must have replaced whatever was set there originally.
It is likely that the moon and star came from a brooch and have been re-imagined into this pretty ring. The adaptation has been thoughtfully constructed and the ring looks excellent on the hand.
