A pretty pair of paste earrings from the turn of the last century, c1900. The earrings are made from solid 18ct gold, which has a very slight rosy hue. They have two beautiful old cut paste stones set in claw settings. The paste are in lovely condition and have a real ‘salt and pepper’ diamond appearance with their overall look being quite dark. The facets in the paste allow the light to move prettily and I love their slightly moody style.
The paste sit in closed back settings and have hooks with closures to the bottom making them very secure in the ear.
