Antique Red Glass Orb Locket on Chain
A stunning locket from the early 20th Century. The locket is made from sterling silver with beautiful decorative engraving to the outside of the frame. It holds wonderful domed red glass to the front and the back to create a complete sphere. The glass has a beautiful depth of colour and the light truly glows through it. The locket opens on a hinge. There is a flat glass inside, which you would ordinarily be able to place a photo behind, though I have been unable to remove it. The locket could still hold a photo on the other side as there is some depth there.
The locket hangs on a simple small biker link chain that measures approx 1mm wide and is approx 16 1/2” long.
