A lovely, simple pendant from the early 20th Century, c1920s. The pendant is made from solid 9ct gold, marked on the back, and has a pretty rope twist border. To the front, a real scarab has been set within the closed back setting. The setting has been custom made for this scarab and is an ideal eye-catching pendant. The scarab is a glistening green colour and sits beautifully in the slightly rosy gold.

This type of scarab jewellery became particularly popular in the 1920s due to the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. The chain pictured is for display only.
