A lovely example of this style of ring from the beginning of the last century. The ring is made from sterling silver and is marked on the side of one of the bands with 925. The ring is three bands that pivot on a central pin at the base. The lowest band has a little heart set at the centre and two hands come together to clasp in front of the heart. The hands have cuffs; one is female and the other male. This is a traditional wedding band, though is often given as a token of love. The name ‘fede’ derives from the Italian for ‘trust’ or ‘fidelity’.
The ring clicks together securely and is in beautiful condition.
