A pretty and elegant necklace seemingly made from antique components. The clasp is a lovely 17th Century Stuart crystal clasp. It is made from silver and has a faceted rock crystal set atop gold wirework initials ‘EC’, classic to the style of Stuart crystal pieces. The clasp looks to have been re-foiled at some point (though it came to me as it is) and has a lovely deep blue foil behind the gold initials. The initials are likely to be original along with the rock crystal and setting, though the foil is likely to have been added, perhaps due to degradation of the original over the years.
The clasp is the closure for a pretty string of natural pearls, seed pearls to the back and slightly larger around the clasp. When the necklace is worn, the necklace sits beautifully on the neck and the clasp sits flat, proudly displayed at the centre.
The other chains pictured are not for sale. This necklace should be worn with care.
