A striking and beautiful necklace from the Art Deco period, c1920s. The necklace is made from solid 9ct white gold with a little hallmark tab towards the clasp. The centrepiece is a wonderful piece of white chalcedony with an inlay stripe of vibrant green malachite. The chalcedony is a stunning geometric shape, typical of the period and has an amazing decorative setting with cut out linear shapes in the design.
The pendant hangs on a fine cable chain, original to the necklace, with a malachite bead on either side. The combination of colours and the overall look is so obviously of the time and you could not mistake this for anything else.
