Early Victorian Diamond Flower Pendant

£0.00
sold out

A stunner of a pendant from the Victorian period. The pendant has been made in the shape of a flower and is likely French in origin, due to the nature of its construction. It is full of mixed cut diamonds along the lines of hand cut rose diamonds that glitter and sparkle in soft candlelight.

Amazingly, the diamonds are set in gold coloured metal rather than gold or silver; perhaps it is a version of rolled gold, and thorough care and attention has been given to the construction. The centre stone is fairly substantial in size and sits in a closed back setting. The flower is complete with a 14kt solid gold bail and glitters enticingly on the neck.

The chain pictured is for display only.

Details:

Materials - Rolled Gold, 14kt Gold Bail (tested), Diamonds

Age - Early Victorian

Size - The flower measures approx 14mm in diameter. The central diamond in its setting is around 6mm by 6.2mm

Condition - Very good. A little lead present on the basket at the back, noted for accuracy only.

Weight - TBC. Approx 3g, awaiting accurate jewellery scales.
