Early Victorian Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring
A beautiful ring from the early Victorian period, c1840s. The ring is made from solid 18ct gold and is a pretty cluster design. At the centre is a deep pinkish-red ruby, which is surrounded by rose cut diamonds. The diamonds are all original and sparkle perfectly with their rose facets on the surface. The central ruby is a replacement to the original, which was a very worn ruby paste stone. This is a natural gemstone and is perfectly in keeping with the age and style. The shoulders of the shank are a beautiful decorative style and the setting is closed back. A true beauty.
