Edwardian Diamond '1908' Butterfly Pendant

£420.00

A beautiful and unusual pendant from the Edwardian period with a date within the design of 1908. The pendant has been made in the shape of a butterfly with an openwork design allowing the numbers of the date to show prominently. The numbers and the tail of the butterfly are all studded with little rose cut diamonds. At the centre is a little pearl and the eyes look as though they were once enamelled, with one retaining the pretty sea green enamel, whilst the other remains silver. The pendant is silver to the front and 15ct gold to the back, bail and antennae. It exhibits lovely craftmanship.

The chain pictured is for display only.
