A pretty ring from the early 20th Century, likely Edwardian, though the date letter has rubbed over time. The ring is made from solid 9ct gold with this part of the hallmark still remaining. It has two pretty natural opals set into a rub over setting with a slight millegrain finish to the centre. The opals are beautifully colourful and exhibit blue and green sparkles with a soft orange glow beneath. I love how the gemstones sit on the finger and the ring is a lovely, original example.
Details:
Materials - 9ct Gold (marked), Opals
Age - Edwardian
Size - The opals measure approx 9.5mm by around 5mm in their settings. The two are around 12mm across.
Ring Size - UK R ½ US 9 This ring could be resized a little.
Condition - Very good. The opals are a little rubbed to the surface commensurate with age
Weight - 2.4g
