Edwardian Harlequin Gemstone Brooch

£0.00
sold out

The most wonderful brooch from the Edwardian period, c1905. The brooch has the most beautiful array of coloured natural gemstones across the length, all set in 18ct gold. The pin of the brooch is 9ct gold as is often the case. There are six gemstones in total, all are natural and I believe them to be a mix of green tourmalines of varying shades, a madeira citrine, a dark sapphire and an almandine garnet. The combination of colours is highly unusual and I was instantly drawn to this beautiful harlequin piece. Such a simple, yet exquisite item.

Details:

Materials - 18ct Gold, 9ct Gold (both tested), Varying Gemstones (see above)

Age - C1905

Size - The gemstones measure approx 5mm each. The brooch is 4cm long

Condition - Excellent

Weight - 3.48g
