RESERVED Edwardian Pearl Locket

£250.00

A lovely example of this style of locket from the Edwardian period, c1910s. The locket is made from 9ct gold, marked on the back of the locket and the underside of the bail. The mark on the back of the locket almost looks like 8ct, though I think this is a smudge in the gold marking and the locket does test as 9ct gold. It has beautiful seed pearls set around the edge. They are uniform in shape, all original and in excellent condition. At the centre is a glass locket. This opens by lifting the back out of place, allowing you to add your own photo or momento. The locket has the original pearl studded bail.

The chain pictured is for display only.
