Edwardian Sacred Heart Locket
A beautiful and unusual locket from the Edwardian period, c1905. The locket is made from 9ct gold, marked towards the tip of the heart, and has a circular glass window to the back and the front. One side of the heart has a hand drawn picture of a sacred heart with a cross to the top and wire around the centre. The words state 'League of the Sacred Heart. Thy Kingdom Come'. To the other side, the circular frame can be removed to place your own momento or photo inside. The locket also exhibits a patent number.
The locket will come on a 14kt gold chain similar to the one pictured.

Condition - Very good. Some tiny dings to the edges, commensurate with age and use.
