Edwardian Trombone Link Watch Chain, 15"
A gorgeous watch chain necklace from the late Edwardian period, dated Chester 1915/16. The chain is made from solid sterling silver with the lion passant present on all the trombone shaped links. In between each long stylised fetter link is a detailed knot link. The chain is complete with a t-bar at the centre and a dog clip. The links are marked with Chester 1915, whilst the dog clip and t-bar is marked Chester 1916. One jump ring is earlier and obviously a replacement with a date stamp of Birmingham 1903. It’s a lovely statement necklace with a good weight.
As a note, it is a good length that allows you to also wear it doubled up as a bracelet if desired. Please see the pictures.
