Georgian Chalcedony Scent Bottle
An exquisite scent bottle from the early 19th Century, c1810-20s. The scent bottle is made from carved white chalcedony with a ribbed design to the front and the back and has an angular shape overall. This is set in a beautiful star stamped frame and the top opens on a hinge to the side. The top is also decorated with stars. The scent bottle hangs on a trio of chains and has the original twisted gold bail. All gold tests as 18ct gold.

Size - The scent bottle measures approx 18mm wide. It hangs at 38mm long from the top of the bail to the bottom of the bottle.
Condition - Excellent. There is a shadow to one corner inside the bottle when held up to the light. Perhaps a little sponge from the period? Impossible to know and does not alter the beauty of the piece at all.
