Georgian Diamond Surround Ring

A beautiful ring from the Georgian period, c1800s. The ring is made from 15ct gold that has a very mild rosy hue, and the diamonds are set in silver as was customary during this period. The diamonds are hand crafted rose cut diamonds. They have a moody, twinkling appearance and frame a central deep blue paste stone. The central stone is reminiscent of a deep blue sapphire with a very slight purple undertone.

The ring has a closed back setting, which has a beautiful domed appearance and is super tactile. The shank also has a rounded feel and the ring is a lovely example of Georgian craftmanship.

Ring Size - UK K ½ US 5 ½ This ring can be re-sized a little.

Condition - Very good. The frame of the paste has a little nick in the gold; please see the pictures. Some striations in the gold on one shoulder of the shank.
