An absolutely stunning ring from the early 19th century. The ring is classically Georgian in style and has five pretty pale pink gemstones set across the finger. The gems appear to be a mix of foil-back rock crystal and paste with a little pale pink tourmaline to one end. Perhaps the tourmaline is a replacement, whilst the others look to be original, though there is a cohesive feel to the ring and it is difficult to know for sure. The foil gives the stones such a beautiful soft pink glow and their facets allow the light to bounce off the foil and around the stones. The ring is complete with a traditional engraved split shank and tests as around 12ct gold.
The ring has a great look and the colours are well matched across the five gems. So very pretty and elegant!
