Georgian Malachite Cameo Pinky Ring
A captivating little Georgian ring, c1790s. The ring is made from 18ct gold and has a little stamp to the outside of the shank , seemingly of crossed keys; it could be German in origin. It is a very delicate piece with a simple split shank and a fine bezel holding a malachite cameo. The cameo has worn considerably over time, though there are still some details to the facial features. Despite this, the natural colour variation in the malachite gives the centrepiece depth overall. A pretty and rare piece.
